Snuggling Should Be Free

A conversation with a Cuddle Party Meetup Group member who says “cuddling should be free”. And, we couldn’t agree more!

Thanks Yvonne, But I came out of the group. This group is more commercial than actual cuddling. Cuddling should be free..

Dear Omm,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I agree with you that cuddling should be free!! So, I want to offer you a challenge. I want to give you the opportunity to offer free cuddle sessions to other people who need it — through Snuggle Salon. I can put up your profile and integrate your calendar and people can request your time and always use a “free” coupon — they won’t be charged.

What I know is this: Many people are alone and needing affection for many different reasons. Perhaps they are far away from home, from their friends and family, or their primary partner has died, or there is a divorce or a breakup and they don’t want to go immediately back into a relationship ( this is what got me to my first Cuddle Party ) or they feel unskilled at being with the opposite sex. Or perhaps, they live in a culture where simple affectionate touch is mostly frowned on and people who say they want or need it are labeled and put down. Whatever the reason, we all still need human affection and intimacy, because without it we feel isolated, and sometimes, even depressed.

And, not everyone is capable of giving loving attention and compassion, especially in the form of physical affection and loving affectionate presence. My job is to find these naturally open, loving, generous beings who are capable of giving this kind of care without it leading to sexuality or romance — and pay them for their time to offer the warmth and compassion that these sweet human beings want to give naturally. The people who work at Snuggle Salon only work here part-time. They have other jobs and careers and families and children — and I am not compensating them for cuddling. I am compensating them for being the special kind of person who can do this work and wants to give up some of their time to do it.

What I can tell you is that our attendees and clients are reporting getting a lot of value from both Cuddle Party and Snuggle Salon ( ). And, obviously, it takes a lot of work, on my part, to put on the Cuddle Party workshop, as well as managing Snuggle Salon, a company that offers one-on-one sessions. I could not afford to spend this much of my time without generating some income from it. But, I would, if I were independently wealthy — because this is my mission in the world — not just a job.

So, again, Omm, I challenge you….to give your time away to people who need it — for free. I can certainly create that opportunity for you. Please call me at (408) 642-5075 to discuss it.
